About

Stoneburner is a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant located in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, on the ground floor of Hotel Ballard. Opened in 2013 by chef Jason Stoneburner, it blends Pacific Northwest ingredients with the flavors and techniques of Southern Europe. The restaurant is recognized for its wood-fired pizzas, handmade pastas, and warm, antique-filled dining space.

Atmosphere and Design
The dining room pairs rustic architectural salvage with global antiques, creating a timeless, welcoming setting. Large front windows open onto Ballard Avenue, giving the restaurant an airy, street-connected feel. Its dramatic, wood-paneled bar and open stone hearth contribute to the restaurant’s signature charm.

Cuisine and Menu
Stoneburner’s menu celebrates seasonal and local ingredients from Northwest farms, fisheries, and foragers. Dishes highlight the balance between Mediterranean tradition and Pacific bounty—think wood-roasted vegetables, seafood, pasta, and pizza. Brunch, dinner, and a craft cocktail program round out the offerings, with vegetarian and gluten-free options available.

Chef and Ownership
Chef Jason Stoneburner, also known for his work at Bastille Café & Bar, brings decades of regional culinary experience. His cooking emphasizes sustainability, simplicity, and thoughtful sourcing, earning Stoneburner a place among Seattle’s respected neighborhood restaurants.
